From the 17th March France has been in Lockdown. As social distancing has become the norm, classes in the old sense, where yogis arrived, chatted and exchanged views and a certain amount of local news are prohibited. We have had to adapt. Those uncertain about social media and technology have had an exponential learning curve to remain in contact with friends, loved ones and our former lives. I wanted to continue to offer my lessons on line through some live streaming sessions. After a hesitant start and some different platforms explored, we have landed on Whereby. Unfortunately living in rural France, the internet signals are not always very strong. Some of my yogis have had to give up yoga for the moment while others join me once, twice or even three times a week to do an hour and a quarter session of hatha yoga with a little bit of meditation tacked on the end. Restorative yoga on Friday really helps those struggling with the new regimes and uncertainty ahead. The continued rhythms and routines provided by the classes provide a beneficial structure for many. In addition to my French yogis, I have been able to offer classes to stranded family members, friends in the UK and elsewhere across the globe. Now it is simply a case of coordinating the friends and family so that everyone can have a moment of relaxation in a stressful time.
Classes are run daily at 10am
